Jschlatt, a former hero, decides to retire after a tragic accident involving his old teammates.
Now, all he wants is to live a peaceful life, working at his small café and serving his customers. The only problem is his beloved employee, Dream, who always shows up for work covered in bruises, injuries, and dark circles under his eyes.
The only plausible explanation for all of this is:
He’s a vigilante.
(Or a villain, which would be even worse.)Or, those stories where Dream is a vigilante who keeps getting himself into trouble with villains, except this time, everything is told from someone else’s point of view.

Dream lives an ordinary life, working at a small cafe in the city of Essempi. His powers are nothing special; he's able to see how powerful a person is on a scale of 1-10. It shouldn't cause any trouble or interfere with him going about his daily life… That is, until it accidentally reveals the identities of the most wanted villains in the city.

Yes. Wilbur had to bite his tongue to keep the answer from spilling out of his mouth, because yes he wanted more. Of course he wanted more. He wanted to be more than the bastard prince. He wanted to be more than a mistake his mother made before she married Tommy’s father.
But that wasn’t the role he had been cast for in his life.
“It doesn’t matter,” Wilbur said instead. “When Tommy turns eighteen he’ll be crowned King, and I will be his advisor. He’ll be a good king, I’ll make sure of it.”
or, as the bastard prince of the planet of Eldingvegr, Wilbur has always known he was never meant for greatness. That was his younger brother's destiny. Wilbur's job was simply to try and make sure Tommy could fulfill that destiny.
That becomes decidedly more difficult when the brothers are betrayed, and are forced to flee their home planet. With the Essempi Empire being one of the largest imperial powers in the universe, the only place that can offer them refuge from Emperor Dream is Zephys IV—capital planet of the Antarctic Empire, ruled by the ruthless Emperor Philza.

Summary
The pirates,The Blood God, had spared his life and his son’s, but he knew better than to think it was an act of mercy.
The captain of The Blood God was a legend of a man. Technoblade’s tales had barely escaped across the waves, as no one usually survived encounters with him. Technoblade took lives, spared no one, and everyone had been taught to fear the sight of a red Jolly Roger.
“Why would you spare me?” Phil asked, toeing the line between pushing for answers and staying compliant enough to live. “It would be more fitting for someone like you to kill me in front of my son.”
Phil didn’t like the look he received in return, a cold smile with unknown intentions. “It would, wouldn’t it?” Technoblade considered, eyes glancing between Phil and Tommy. “My plans for you aren’t set in stone, Philza, but if your son proves to be a useful hand, perhaps I’d let you live.”
Phil didn’t believe that. “Instead of having him kill me to prove his loyalty?”
The pirate dared him to say more. “Don’t give me ideas you don’t want implemented.”or
Pirate Captain Technoblade has taken two new prisoners. No one is particularly happy about it.

Dream is the city's #1 hero, with the powers of healing and luck, although he's lived the most unlucky life of all. Somewhere along the way he saves a few villains, and - for some reason - they save him back. Only slightly less angsty than it seems.
