Summary
Once the last foe fell beneath his torrent of stone pillars, he rose to watch the surviving warriors run with news of their victory. Cloud Retainer’s avian form circled overhead, Ganyu leaped down the mountainside to join her master, and his angel’s song was carried on the wind, weak but thrumming. All he wanted then, was his yaksha.
He called to each of them, one after another, both by given name and title. Each time, he stood still, watching through the drifting cinders for their faces to appear, and listening for their familiar voices asking, “Yes, my lord?”
Yet all was silent.

Lloyd really wants to be with his dad and help him conquer Ninjago. Nobody likes that idea– Lord Garmadon included.
“I’m getting stronger to join you, not fight you.” Lloyd watches slightly satisfied as the Ninja pause halfway, looking annoyingly resigned at his statement and his father’s face hurrying through confusion, surprise, pride, and finally exasperation.
“Lloyd…” His father sighs, rubbing his forehead hard. “No.”
“What? Why not?” Lloyd demands as his face falls, “Come on, pleaseee?”
“Because I said so.”
“It doesn’t work like that!”
“Lloyd please, you’re making a scene. The Green Ninja can not join the darkness.”
“Yes, I can!”
“No. I forbid it.”
“I will! Just watch me!”

“What do you mean you don’t use that form now?” Venti asks, straightening from where he’d been half-laying on the table. He suddenly looks concerningly more sober.
“It isn’t necessary for fulfilling my duties,” Xiao answers, trying not to shrink into himself too much. “It’s a liability.”
Barbatos looks at him and then at Zhongli, confused. Xiao’s mouth has gone dry. He can’t bring himself to say it.
They're broken and ugly, just like the whole of him, but the difference is that the rest of his body is still capable of being useful, and that part is not. No longer an advantage in battle, but dead weight instead."Zhongli and Venti try to take care of Xiao's wings. Xiao tries to let himself be taken care of. There's about a two and a half thousand years worth of things that make it difficult.

Summary
"PLEASE, IS ANYBODY THERE?!" He was banging so hard against the wood his hands were getting scraped and bloody. The tears finally came through. He just wanted out.
He might be spared a painless death, he was already getting woozy from the hyperventilating. Maybe I'd pass out and be sacrificed quickly. Through the crying and screaming, it all felt for nothing. Nobody was coming for him and that made his heart sink. He was hopelessly pushing against the seemingly immovable doors, praying for anything, anyone to let him out.
Outside of the locker, the sound of wood breaking echoed.
