Drifting right back into a gentle sleep, Dolores found herself able to get in only a few more minutes before she found herself wake up again. This time to three new sounds. Three brand new heartbeats. Them mixing in with hers, her husband's, her familia's and everyone else in the Encanto's.
She listened hard, and carefully, but she couldn't pinpoint exactly where they were coming from.
Or: Dolores is pregnant. With triplets no less.
Set two years after the movie; with the exception of chapter three, which is set seven years post canon.

This story could alternately be titled "I listened to that one line Dolores sang in 'All of You' and became intensely interested in who Mariano was as a person" or maybe "Dolores can hear every single thing in this town no way she's falling in love with a shitty person."
Basically I'm fleshing out both Mariano's and Dolores' characters because I can, and no one can stop me. It starts a bit before the movie, and I don't know yet where it will end.
