“Can you stop sugarcoating this for me? I just flew 20 hours in the bottom of a cargo plane because someone told me my husband had been in an accident and nothing else, I don't have time to fuck around- What. Happened.” Buck let out a rough swear of frustration, but Bobby took none of it to heart.
“There was a sniper and-”
Buck laughed, a nervous, frantic, crazed laugh.
“There was a sniper? I was the one in the war zone- where the hell did the sniper come from in the middle of downtown LA?”
“We don't have information on the attacker yet-” Buck was not getting any of the actual answers right now, and he really wasn’t in the right headspace to find the words to make it happen. All he cared about was-
“Fuck the sniper- where's Eddie?”

Summary
“This is nice, Buck.” Albert said, looking around. Buck watched him for a minute to see if he was serious or joking, but he was just smiling at the pictures Buck had hung up that Chris had drawn or had made him get printed. “I really appreciate you letting me stay here.”
“No problem.” Buck shrugged, heading for the bedroom to get his bag.
“I’m also glad that your boyfriend isn’t threatened by me.” Albert continued and Buck promptly tripped through the door to the bedroom and he heard Eddie do the same in the kitchen. “Oh my gosh, are you guys ok?”
“Good!” Eddie called, coughing a little.
“Yeah, all good.” Buck grunted as he pushed himself back up.
“Sorry, I was just trying to make a joke. I know I’m not a threat when that’s the type of person you’re with. I mean, good for you, Buck. You too, Eddie. You’re both very lucky.” Albert apologized.
