Kim Dokja never considered himself an interesting figure, much less someone of great importance. On the contrary, he saw himself as a mediocre man, an ordinary man with no remarkable achievements, no stories worth telling, just another salaryman lost in the monotonous routine of some nondescript office.
His life, though mundane and unremarkable, had never been marked by extraordinary events. Yet, he had the misfortune of being born into a devastated world, where beings with supernatural abilities waged chaotic battles, often indifferent to the fate of civilians like him, ordinary people, powerless and defenseless, forced to witness an apocalypse with no chance of escape.
In such a desolate setting, where the impossible was the norm, how could an ordinary man like Kim Dokja possibly survive?
