Summary
The lake, she figured, would be her best bet. Almost everything important to Duchess's story happened on the water, and she had been inseparable from that silly water ever since they had come here. Dancing on it, doing homework next to it, even fighting dirty to save it. She almost giggled at the thought that Duchess liked her lake much more than she liked almost all people.

... yes. Yes, she was. Apple sipped at her tea and turned another page, glancing up when Darling's shadow shifted over into her light.

Summary
“You fell into mako?” Tifa asked. That was new. That was different from last time.
“The doctor said I’m lucky not to be poisoned,” Cloud told her. He pointed at his face with the hand that wasn’t holding Tifa up. “It messed up my eyes, though.”
His eyes were blue, with a few swirls of Lightstream green. The same as they had been after Hojo’s experiments. Tifa leaned in to stare at them, ignoring Cloud’s cheeks turning a splotchy red. Yes, they were exactly the same. The Planet had returned his enhancements to him, hopefully without the side effect that was Sephiroth’s repeated attempts to regain a foothold in -
Sephiroth. Sephiroth was alive.
“What was the dream about?” Cloud asked.
“We went to Midgar,” Tifa said quietly, unable to not tell him, “and we met a flower girl. And when she died, the world ended.” She turned her head away from him, the horrible, possessive words squeezing out of her lips where Aerith finally couldn’t hear them. “She was ours. And we just. . . she was ours.”

Summary
Its name was Valefor.
But Tifa could only be reminded of Phoenix, a summon from her world, rising from the ashes to be reborn anew. She watched in awe as Aerith, the summoner, cradled the bird’s head with a gentle, beautiful smile. It was a sight she had seen before, yet it felt new—this Aerith, this summon. They were all new to her, a rebirth of something she once knew intimately and taken... too soon.
More and more, Tifa realized ‘she wasn’t in Kansas anymore’—a saying Marlene often quoted from her favorite movie about a Moogle who ventured into a multicolored world from their own black and white one.
Or the FFX Aerti AU that you also never knew you needed.

Summary
Once upon a time there was a girl from nowhere, a boy with deep brown skin and kind eyes, and another boy, with orange-red hair as vibrant as the flames he would become so well known for.
Once upon a time, the girl from nowhere fell in love with those boys. Once upon a time, they loved her too, and each other.
But they did not know then that their story was never meant to be a love story. There was never going to be a happy ending.
Once upon a time, a powerful mage promised three children the world. And then he turned them into monsters. And by the time they finally understood, it was too late.
Monsters do not get happily-ever-afters after all. But sometimes, if they are very patient, they can get revenge.
[Or: Astrid sees Owelia’s note appear and has to decide if and how she can protect one love of her life without sacrificing another]

Summary
Disaster has haunted the once famous Opera House Curieux. Reoccurring accidents that fomented chaos. Hushed whispers of a figure told only of in tales, a Phantom singing angelic songs of death. An all-consuming blaze that devoured hopes and futures equally. It has persevered through it all, rising from the ashes under the careful hands of fresh, new owners. With them comes a mostly new staff, and budding new performers seeking to be a part of the grand reopening of this once great theater.
Eager to shed memories and stay far away from her family, Zoey seizes an opportunity to join the Opera House. Unaware of the things that stalk the buried bones beneath it, both beautiful and terrible, she stumbles into a tangled web of actors she doesn't know, in a part she's ill-equipped for.
Danger looms ahead, a deep shadow that sets her heart racing, but terror and excitement are easily confused in the dark. Torn between a future and freedom she's yearned for and a wonderous darkness that she seems destined to fall for, Zoey must discover a path to the happiness that she fears will be lost to the light.

Summary
“A figure knelt down next to him, wearing familiar black boots. He blinked blearily, and red gloves reached out to lift his head off the ground. He registered gold eyes behind black bangs…
…They blinked slowly and stared at him mournfully. A gloved thumb ran across his cheekbone, and his eyes fluttered closed. Before he could open his mouth to even ask a question, he slipped into darkness.”
