Day 34 of 105 days of 9-1-1 hiatus
(To my lovely co-creators who practically plotted the whole thing, I was a mere vessel for their idea. If only one had turned on their co creating permissions :P)
‘Twas the afternoon of Christmas, when all through the house, not a person was speaking, not even Athena’s spouse. The table was set but the plates were bare, for Christmas dinner had ended in despair. The children were clutching their stomachs in pain, while Buck looked tentatively over Eddie’s wrist sprain. And Bobby in his apron, and Hen in her hat had just recovered from a rather nasty spat. When out from the kitchen there arose such a clatter, the group sighed in unison for it was just one more thing that just had to shatter.

“Swingers,” Buck gasped, eyes wide and mouth agape, “Eddie, they’re swingers.”
Immediately, Eddie blanked, fork clattering against his dish as he ran through every possible way he could try to deny it. More or less recovered, he eventually shook his head and laughed, “What? No. No, they’re not.”
“Yes,” the other gritted out, frantically gesturing back at the two couples at the bar, “they are.”
Turning in his seat, Eddie watched as the pair of husbands quite literally swapped wives, getting rather cozy with their new partner for the evening. And... ok, damn. Sure. Clearing his throat as he turned back around, he was willing to make a partial concession, “Ok. Fine. Maybe those four are, but—”
That’s when Buck got to pointing: “And them. And them. And definitely them.” Each assessment more damning than the last.

Evan “Buck” Buckley has lived in the shadow of his older brother his entire life. Quite literally made to be spare parts for Daniel, what happens when those spare parts are no longer needed? Well, in Buck’s case they get ignored. Pushed aside. Forgotten about.
Buck acts out in order to be seen, but one rebellious prank may have been a leap too far for his father and Buck finds himself with a one-way ticket to a strict English boarding school. Unwilling to accept the strict regime, he decides to misbehave in the hope of being dismissed by the school… only to find there might be something, or someone, worth staying for.
