It was cold for a summer evening. The wind was biting, bringing with it the smell of garbage from the skip further down the alley from where the police were gathered. Sally Donovan was silently keeping watch over the unconscious murder suspect. Greg Lestrade was on his phone, pacing at the mouth of the alley, his hand running agitatedly through his greying hair. And John Watson was kneeling in a spreading pool of Sherlock Holmes’ blood.

Summary
When they reach their majority, every hobbit is encouraged to carve or forge a spoon that would be their Love Spoon. It’s a very sacred process as no talking can be done during the crafting of the spoon. All of their energy must be concentrated on pouring their hopes and dreams for the future into their spoon. Reflecting especially on what type of spouse would compliment them most, what type of marriage they hope to have, and what vows they would make to honor and cherish them. The symbols etched into their spoon would showcase all of this so that way when their future spouse used it for the first time, they knew exactly what they were getting out of this marriage. And that’s it. Once someone has taken a bite from a dish prepared by the spoon’s owner, they are married in the eyes of the Shire. The act is reciprocated, and the lucky couple move in together in marital bliss.

Summary
When Oswald wakes up battered and bruised, the last thing he remembers is agreeing to a six-hour truce with Ed after escaping the Court Of Owls. He can only assume that Ed has broken their truce and decided to play dirty.
The truth is much stranger. Oswald is apparently over a decade in the future, and Ed is fussing demurely at his bedside, and everybody around him is insisting that he and Ed are not only allies again, but married.
He decides that this is either a glitch in the matrix or an astoundingly cruel trick on Ed’s part. He does not, for a single second, entertain that it might be real.
