“Yes, I know.” Rita turned around, just to have the air knocked out of her, as her nose almost touched Bella’s, leaning on the printer. She moved away quickly, cursing the tiny room. Bellatrix blushed, barely noticeable in this light. “It’s good to be pushed, sometimes.”
Rita makes an unlikely friend and gets in trouble. Bellatrix is not all bad (yet). Narcissa is just there, mildly confused, but she's got the spirit.

Summary
How could Remus believe, even for a second, that Sirius Black betrayed James?
Sirius Black, who would have jumped in front of a curse to save James. No, James was his brother, his only surviving family. Remus could believe in Sirius betraying anyone else, but James?
Well, too bad everyone was just too eager to get rid of Black. After all, does it really come as a surprise to anyone, knowing the rest of his family, that he would've turned, too? And besides, they are too busy with getting back to their life after putting it on hold for years. Voldemort is gone, and the ministry is ripe with his former supporters trying to slip through the cracks of justice, still wielding the power in their hands.
So that leaves Remus to save Sirius all on his own after he wasn't given even as much as a fair trial, while he observes the rich and powerful Death Eaters get away with no consequences; and the only person to help him is Marlene, who is barely a shell of her old self after everything that has happened during the war.

After James and Lily died, Sirius Black's therapist told him not to date for a year. And that's just as well. He's got a 13-month-old baby now and quite enough to deal with, thanks. But the nosy neighbors in his building keep trying to set him up and won't take no for an answer. Enter Remus Lupin, another single dad who pretends to be Sirius's boyfriend, just to get the old lady brigade off his back and nothing more. Nothing more at all.
