He would never forgive himself for that, he knows. All he can do now is pray to Peter for forgiveness and honor the man. And isn't that a crazy thought? Here Stiles is, kneeling in a cemetery in the middle of the night with a knife in one hand and a bottle in the other, vowing to honor a man that he only knew after he had lost his mind.
Peter Hale's notebook containing a half crossed out lists of names burns in Stile's pocket as he cries and prays. He surely has his work cut out for him, but the Hales deserve to rest. Peter deserves to rest."
