    Peter Parker had one simple goal for Midtown High's field trip to Stark Tower: blend into the background, take notes on water filtration, and under no circumstances let Flash Thompson find out his internship isn't a lie.
    Unfortunately for Peter:

    1.  FRIDAY knows exactly who has Executive Clearance.
    2. Tony Stark has absolutely no interest in sitting through a boring DOD meeting.
    3. And Stark Tower's security system apparently has no problem announcing Peter's coffee orders to the entire lobby.

    (Or: Peter's classmates visit Stark Tower, Peter's internship becomes increasingly difficult to explain, and Tony Stark makes that significantly harder than it needs to be.)

    “Hey, Tony Stank” Rhodey starts speaking as soon as he opens the door, “is this the new in-“.
    Rhodey freezes mid-step and mid-sentence when Tony and the intern both look up at his entrance, and he gets his first look at the intern.

    The intern who’s a kid.

    A kid who looks an awful lot like Tony did back when he first met him at MIT.

    It may have been 30 years, give or take, since he met his best friend, but he’d never forget the first time that he met the skinny little kid with a head full of curls, that had a busted lip because he had mouthed off to one of the much older students.

    He’d never forget that little face.

    The face that he was suddenly seeing all over again…sitting next to his best friend.

    Yes, this is one of those stories where Tony find's out Peter is actually his son. I'm a sucker for these kind of stories and I've wanted to write one for a while...so, here it is :)

    Now, this was great for Peter Parker. More than great! It meant that Peter would have something to put on his college applications, and potentially a letter of recommendation, and it meant he would have an actual challenge for once in his life.

    This development, however, was not great for Spider-man. Spider-man was being hunted down by the Avengers, which Mr. Stark happened to be a part of. And Peter Parker happened to be Spider-man.

    OR: Peter Parker is interining at Stark industries. The spider that bit Peter had a few more effects than it does in canon, including but not limited to: fangs, way worse instincts, and an annoyingly sentient spidey sense

    Much less to be taken on as his personal intern-
    He's met the man as spiderman, yes. But it's one thing to meet him as a chatty vigilante, and another to meet him as a selectively mute foster kid that most people wouldn't give the time of day.
    Can he keep his alter-ego a secret from his new mentor and the merry band of heroes living in his new workplace?
