“Uh,” said Tyelpe, who under no circumstances was willing to discuss the thing he was making.
“‘Good to meet you’,” Aredhel prompted, sounding exhausted. “‘And my name is…’”
“Oh!” said the man, and flushed from pink to red. “Oh. I am. Good to meet you. Sorry.”

In fourth age Aman, a returned (in poor condition) Celebrimbor agrees to go to a beach party hosted by Finrod's weird grandfather (the King of Alqualonde) to get his mind off of the way his ex-husband (Sauron) is still hanging over his head (parked in his soul like a Ford F150 taking up four separate parking spots). He meets a man at that party, and there are so many people this man could be, some quite logical choices for shipping with Celebrimbor, except in this one, the man is Osse. You're welcome.

First there is the prose version I originally wrote, and second a stageplay adaption I wrote in a mad trance a year and a half later.

Meowzy once was and in a very real way remains the reigning sovereign of the English-Language TOS fandom. Many of her fanfictions are lost to time. I'm glad this one stands. "Resentment" kind of creeps up on you; I want to describe what I like best about it but it would be a spoiler and the kind of spoiler that is a disservice to the reader.

I have been digesting this since I read it and I genuinely think it’s one of the most clever fics I have ever read. I had to unfold it like I was taking a complicated piece of origami back apart. It is also very hot and it feels BAD (complimentary). There are a lot of unstated things happening in this fic as it is in the POV of a very young man interpreting the actions of much older men and it’s worth really picking at it like an archeological dig to find all the little petrified things they’ve got lodged in their mental cliffsides.

okay fam, you think you know what this fic is from reading the description, but you do not know what this fic is. this is one of the most searing, visceral expression of righteous queer anger on this side of the goddamn Hollingsworth v Perry defense. what IN the fuck. i don't know what happened. i was going to read a little bit of harmless shipping for the nostalgia and then suddenly i was in a different room reading a different story in different clothes. i can't even tell you when this morphed from ust-centric shipfic to an honestly invigorating psychodrama about internalized homophobia and the systemic oppression of queer people in modern society. what is happening to me
