Since 2021, my friend has been running a roleplaying campaign based on The Secret World MMO, and my highly intelligent hacker-character with massive trust-issues, Prentis, got tagged by the Dreamers who tempted him to accept their gifts.The temptation that really hit the mark was a vision of coming home to a warm and safe house on a lonely cliffside far from everything to a loving husband who he trusted implicitly to never abandon him because an adventure in the past had let them read each other’s minds and feelings.
The certainty of being safe and loved; the ultimate temptation for Prentis, who had been handed off to abusive strangers as a child.
Since, ridiculously, we can't game every day (pfff!), this fic, putting flesh on a story that only happened to my character as a cruel vision, is my way to interact with The Secret World during downtime.
It’s a whole little romance with a small, linear plotline.

This is a collection of Zukka drabbles (it sort of continues the previous story, Hope, but without me having to force the story to segway. You can easily read one without the other.)
For this story, I disregard the other series (Korra included), comics, films, books, and whatever else is out there. This story builds only on the three seasons of ATLA.There is still a sizable chunk of stories not posted yet, and at a point later on it plotbunnies away from me in a huge headcanon salute, heard across the rabbit holes. I'm currently trying to keep it short and not drown you/me/anyone in text.

o-0-oFour years ago, when the war ended, all of Team Avatar made Zuko a promise that they would end him if he began ruling like his father.
On his way to the Northern Water Tribe, Sokka hears of a devastating attack on the Fire Nation capital plus some very disturbing stories that Zuko had people executed for the crime and carried out the sentence himself.
Has the Fire Lord begun his descent into power abuse?
Has he begun to enjoy killing enemies off?
Only one way to find out, but Fire Lord Zuko has isolated himself on a distant mountain after having dealt with the consequences of the attack, and Sokka is alone.
He isn’t sure what really happened and whether he will need to kill Zuko as he promised all those years ago – but he has to go there and find out. -

I wish I could say I wrote this while drunk, on drugs, hungover, suffering from severe blood loss, or otherwise impaired, but no. No. …No. It is simply the dumbest thing I ever wrote, and I regret nothing. (Also, Grammarly decided to check my text prior to posting and found that it sounded "confident and formal".
