Minho gets up then, as quietly as he can and counting on her being distracted. He approaches the kitchen in the dark, already seeing the figure bending over the counter.
He meant to talk right away, but the vision is so surprising that it renders him mute.
It is not a woman that he sees. The person—the omega—in front of him has broad shoulders and thick arm muscles, and the light of the fire shines on his face and neck, revealing a protrusion that goes up and down every time he swallows, complementing the sharp jawline and the beautiful side profile. “Jisung!”
A familiar voice, somewhere behind him. He turns slowly, eyes finding Minho, jogging to catch up with him. He immediately smells the depth of the hojicha and that edge of delicious cinnamon as he approaches him. Delicious? Jisung would insist that’s not the word he used.
or: Minho and Jisung have hated each other since they first met. Fighting to be top of the class, obsessed with proving each other wrong. But is hate really what they feel?

“His guard, too?” Jisung replied without waiting a heartbeat.
Crap.
The beta sped up and walked in front of Jisung, stopping right in front of him, which caused Jisung to bump into him.
“Why do you care about his guard?” Jeongin asked with a raised eyebrow, sharp eyes peering into the shorter.

Minho doesn't think when he offers Jisung his leather-gloved hand. And Jisung takes it without hesitation, the touch light, for balance and form, but Minho feels the warmth as if it were skin on skin, searing through the leather like flame.
The noise surrounding them rises as soon as Jisung appears, all attention focusing on him.
He's luminous.
