Had she known the change her decisions would affect, she'd have told herself to be braver from the start. Had she known the pain in making those changes… she'd hope she’d still be brave enough to make them regardless. And braver still not to regret it.
When the Noble Council gifts their newest member with a disgraced slave, they expect her to make an example of him. Instead, it seems all shall be learning a lesson or two.
Warren the gladiator, formerly Steelgate's most famous fighter, fell from grace after striking his last master. When his ownership is transferred to another's hands, he doesn't expect his treatment to be any different than that of his prior masters'. That is, until he meets her.
