The good part is that they aren’t members of any gangs or known group, but ending up kidnapped and forced to live among strangers wasn’t the way she thought her ecotourism would end, much less discovering that they are shinobis.
How did she end up in some sort of feudal Japan? What are shinobis and clans? It seems familiar but... from where?

An alert flashed through his mask. Cypher opened his eyes, silently watching the movement through one of his cameras. He’d prepared for multiple entry points but it had been obvious from the beginning this was the way his shadow would choose. They’d shown a disappointing lack of creativity over the last few weeks, always taking the most efficient route with little consideration for who they were tracking.
He intended to make them regret that.

The Yashiro Commission gained the respect of the nation after the plot that unfolded regarding the Fatui and the other organizations. Kamisato Ayato and his sister Ayaka rose to fame as the responsible representatives of the commission, with the former continuously doing his job as the head like nothing had happened prior to their newfound sympathy from the people.
It pissed you off, really. Perfect little Ayato pretending your organization, the Tenryou commission, was currently alright and not going through disarray. So you plotted revenge of your own.
Alas, former ninja, you may think you would be in the lead, but Kamisato Ayato would always be one step ahead of his foes.
