Nai isn’t so sure. He’s comfortable with his routine, his life, his job, and himself. He doesn’t feel a need to be seen as cool or evolved. He’s fine with just being himself.

Nai Saverem has always complained about growing up in what was essentially the middle of nowhere. He hated how people would make fun of his accent, his traditions, and the food he ate as a kid. But he finds that there are some things from his past that he feels no shame about, and he is often reminded that no matter how far he strays from home, he can never escape his origins.
And maybe he doesn't want to.

Summary
Knives Saverem makes a living analyzing skeletons for the government. He predominantly analyzes the unidentifiable remains of prisoners of war, but consults at crime scenes whenever necessary. When a serial killer produces a string of bodies only Knives is able to identify, he begins to realize that the killer is specifically mutilating these bodies for him to study. It wouldn't mean much of anything to Knives, if only it didn't make his work week ten times more interesting.

“I know, sweetie,” his mother says, reaching over to him to pet his hair softly. “You should try and get out of the house, soon.” Nai opens his mouth to tell her his work schedule, but she interrupts him. “And do something other than work. You should call Nicholas.”
Nai makes a face. He doesn’t know why everyone is bringing up Nico. Sure, he supposes they’re friends, but Nico was more Vash’s friend than his. Nai doubts he’ll want to hang out without him. “Why does everyone keep telling me to call Nico? He’s barely my friend!”
His mother gives him a look that he can’t decipher. Then, she sighs. “Just promise me you’ll try, okay?”
OR: with Vash away at school, Nai finds something, or someone, that he was looking for, along with a lot of things he didn't expect along the way.
