Summary
The Eldar were doomed to love the world, never leaving it, and so your people honor the dead. They live on through the living, and so forth into metaphor, the closest family taking the heart raw, even though now you’re wiser and stronger and glow in the dark, and ‘soul,’ scientifically, is replaced by ‘spirit,’ which you know exists quite separately from bloody muscle. But the custom remains—to honor the dead, however rare the dead are. There are worse correlations, to be sure; Míriel Þerindë is honorable, and inimitable, and dead.

Summary
Fëanáro’s cry is cut short by the slate-grey ocean closing over his head.
“The harpers will sing of this moment,” says Nolofinwë, gazing forlornly over the side of the boardwalk. “It shall be immortalized—the moment Nolofinwë Aracáno’s fate was sealed. O glory! O honor!"
“How much—” says Eärwen, gazing out at the beach— “do you think they’ve had to drink?”

Summary
"But of those unhappy ones who were ensnared by Melkor little is known of a certainty. For who of the living has descended into the pits of Utumno, or has explored the darkness of the counsels of Melkor? Yet this is held true of the wise, that all those of the Quendi who came into the hands of Melkor, ere Utumno was broken, were put there in prison, and by slow arts of cruelty were corrupted and enslaved."

Summary
Simply put: Fëanorians are rule 63'd. Possibly others. The resulting woman-ness isn't the FOCUS of the AU, this is still p much fic as I'd write it normally, I just...like writing abt women better *shrug emojus*
For the most part all installments won't be particularly connected, except by my personal headcanons. This isn't an AU with a 'story' basically. The only reason I'm putting them in a series is because it seemed convenient to have all daughters-of-Fëanor material in one uncluttered place.
Series-title from Anne Carson's The Fall of Rome: A Traveller’s Guide from Glass, Irony and God, and also The Second Coming by WB Yeats, because I couldn't pick so didn't.

Summary
Natasha remembers this one occasion, when she had gone to the beach. She had picked up a clump of sand, held together by moisture or pressure or what have you. But sand is a fragile thing, and each grain is nearly helpless. It took very little effort for Natasha to crumble the cohesive whole to pieces.

Summary
Jamie Barnes is a competent sort of woman. She does her therapy, she cooks her meals, she stabs her own enemies. She doesn't need much in the world, because her independence is her greatest treasure.
And then she meets Cat Barton, all sweet smiles and butch build and slow drawl and helpful instincts, and all that kind of goes out the window, because while she doesn't need, she certainly wants. She really wants.
Cat Barton has no idea what's coming to her, stuck on the prettiest lady she's ever seen who makes her feel - well, not needed, because she'd surely fuck that up. But wanted. Yeah. It makes her, against her life's advice otherwise, really want Jamie Barnes back.

Summary
But of course Lestat loved shedding blood and shearing through neck muscle and he loved power. He enjoyed his height over them, despite the fact objectively he wasn't even that tall. He enjoyed the sound of his voice whether it was babbling or shouting. He enjoyed the fact he could hand her a musket, teach her how to use it, and know that she couldn't blow his head off with it. She wouldn't even try.

When she again encounters the Brat Prince, it's not an interview. But it is some kind of conversation.
