Summary
Nebula remembered watching them together- her sister and Peter Quill. She remembered the way Gamora smiled at him when she thought no one was looking; how she sang along with him to his strange Earth music; how she leaned so easily into his embrace when he put an arm around her. Nebula had always judged her for that. How had Gamora allowed her walls to be broken down by someone as foolish and impulsive as him? It made no sense.
Now, years after her sister's death, she finally understood why she fell for him. And it pissed her off.
(My take on Nebula's time with the Guardians from the end of Endgame to the start of GOTG vol. 3, exploring how she finds her place in their dysfunctional family, all the while unwittingly growing closer to her sister's dumbass boyfriend.)

Summary
Lord Frieza has carried and birthed a baby boy, presumed to be the reuslt of an asexual pregnancy- until he is born with eyes that don't match the royal family. When a blood test confirms the boy's human heritage and he begins to experience health complications, Frieza is left with no choice but to bring him to earth and reveal his existence to Yamcha, whom he hasn't spoken to since their brief affair months prior.
If their son is to remain properly cared for, they're going to be stuck together for the long haul... and maybe that's a good thing.

And Nebula… Nebula’s been catching the shrapnel lately. She’s the one still standing when the hangover comes. The one who doesn’t flinch when he slurs his way through a heartbreak he never learned to bury. The one who listens, who steadies him when he stumbles, who patches him up with those metal fingers like it doesn’t sting her every time he says Gamora like a prayer he’s still waiting to be answered.
Peter’s drunk and missing someone else. That’s the truth.
But for a moment, Nebula pretends it’s just them. Just now. Just this.
