Summary
Falling in love with someone so fragile that he could break within his arms alone was the one thing he never planned for. Trying to stay away his resolve wavered at the sound of his laughter. The feeling of warm skin against his and the pounding of the boy's heart had him faltering in his steps and overwhelmed by the urge to protect.
He wasn't afraid of the strength that lied within the hands that traced patterns over his skin. Nor did the hue of red his eyes took at random moments whenever they met.

Summary
Body trembling Jimin takes a hesitant step forward, the small flicker of fire in his hand dying, once the danger was gone. Having killed one of his childhood friends from laying a hand on his twin flame his mouth goes dry. Heart pounding he pushes himself forward. The charred corpse unrecognizable. Staring into dull green eyes he feels his heart ache, the once gentle and naive gaze gone. Unable to help himself he looks the younger over only to flinch. The sign of black veins along the left side of Taehyung's neck a clear sign of the damage he had done. Hoping it wasn't as bad as Yoongi had told him. As Taehyung pushes himself to his feet, his eyes catch the black veins along his sides, the torn shirt revealing the extent of how much the other was suffering. Quickly shedding his jacket Jimin rushes to cover Taehyung only to startle at the cold gaze directed his way. "Don't touch me."
Turning around Taehyung makes his way back to the outskirts, his body throbbing as the bond strains further. Panting he ignores the older male following after him. Vision blurring, he ignores the voice yelling out his name, the pain more then he could handle. As everything goes black, Taehyung wishes for it to stop, for the pain to go away. -

At the whine of his wolf, Jimin moved under the moon, eyes glancing back every now and then to ensure he wasn't being followed. When he approached the lake the sight of Taehyung with his feet dipped in the cool waters had him forgetting about their packs. Running his hands through grey locks the smile sent his way had another wave of warmth spreading through his entire being. As he laced their hands, he brought himself closer to his mate. His eyes landing on the bared neck of Taehyung. As his lips hovered over the skin the smell of oranges had him growling. Pulling back Jimin pressed a quick kiss to the front of Taehyung's forehead instead.
Seeing bright blue eyes a smile curved along his lips. The smell of vanilla filling the clearing had his mind going blank. As hands reached for him, the small sighs Taehyung let out as Jimin pulled him closer fueled his alpha. Feeling the small puff of air had his skin prickling, his eyes widening and his wolf submitting, but the feeling of lips against his head calmed him. As arms circled him Taehyung could only hope no blood would have to be shed when everyone learned about who they were to one another. They just had to make sure they were mated before one of them was ripped away.Series

Or: Taehyung watches a penguin documentary where he sees penguins give their lover a perfect pebble, so he tries to confess to his best friend by repeatedly giving him pebbles.

they’re two best friends who do this. best friends who kiss when they spend time alone, curled up in bed or sitting on the couch. best friends who leave lingering touches and can’t keep their eyes off of each other. best friends who sometimes do more, gasping and writhing between the sheets after months of refusing to acknowledge the tension between them.
