Summary
Of all the things Clark thought he might find while snooping around one of Luthor's labs on the outskirts of Washington, he expected maybe some kryptonite. But what he found was something far more unexpected. A Kryptonian... or at least, what seemed like one. A newborn, tiny and vulnerable, crying helplessly, shaking him to his core.
*
Bruce, exhausted after a long night battling the Riddler, returns to the Batcave hoping for some rest, only to be met with an unexpected sight: Superman sitting on the floor, cradling a crying infant. Normally, Bruce would keep his distance when it comes to children that aren’t his, but given the baby’s apparent Kryptonian origins, he can’t just walk away.

Summary
Clark Kent hates Gotham. The people are weird, it's always raining, and nobody will give him a straight answer about anything.
He's certain that these people know who the Batman is, but nobody is talking. He just needs to find one of them willing to spill the secret. Any one of them. Seriously, there MUST be at least one.
His teenage son-clone-whatever is losing his powers, and Clark is torn between finding a cure, flirting with Bruce Wayne, and trying to figure out who the hell the Batman is under that cowl.
Maybe this Tim Drake kid knows something useful.

Summary
The first sensation he felt upon awaking from what seemed like an eternity of blackness was the comfort. The warmth began deep in his chest and radiated through his fingertips by his sides, through his bare toes underneath him, and even through the strands of hair on his head, long but floating around his scalp in resemblance to a saintly halo.
(Or: The young clone of Superman escapes his containment early and does not stick around to be raised by Lex)
