Summary
It's common knowledge that werewolf shifters mate for life, and that a male’s bite on a female creates an unbreakable bond. They are extremely pack-oriented creatures. But beyond the blurred pictures or rare footages circling on the internet, as an ongoing global war has pushed human armies to experiment with shifter soldiers for their superior strength, senses, healing, and endurance, the Wardog Program was created. Its main weapon is a serum that makes selected humans smell like a werewolf’s mate, turning this handler officer into both a leash and a living hostage.
Captured werewolves are broken, drugged, collared, and forced into combat. Most of the time, this corrupted bond doesn't work. But the handlers are low-ranking soldiers, not important enough to be missed when the creatures lose control.
Oscar Piastri is selected to be the handler for the subject Norris-4.

“There you are.” He whispered gently into the air as his hand finally found that comfortable place at the expanse of his cheek, gently stroking over one of his moles, remapping them. He loved how warm Oscar's skin felt under his touch; he always would.

Summary
Falling in love with Oscar Piastri had been surprisingly easy.
Staying patient while Oscar buried himself beneath deadlines, internship reports, and endless assignments?
Not so much.
Lando knows Oscar still kisses him goodbye. Still reminds him to eat. Still lets him fall asleep beside him. So why does it suddenly feel like he's standing just outside Oscar's world, looking in?
Or maybe that's simply what overthinking looks like when you're hopelessly in love.
