Summary
An overpowered assailant, clearly equipped with the necessary gear to weaken a Kryptonian, nearly destroys both Lena Luthor's office and the Girl of Steel herself. Supergirl, a hair away from breaking limbs and cracking a skull, manages to defeat the assassin. However, what Kara may consider another day's success for her and the DEO flunks Lena's standards. The CEO of L-Corp decides that Supergirl should not simply make do with her self-destructive lifestyle and takes it upon herself to upgrade the Kryptonian's suit.

She tried to describe it to Alex once, the way expending so much energy leaves her edges tingling, like the screen of the old television Alex had in her bedroom in Midvale. Alex asked if it was like pins and needles, and then she had to explain what pins and needles were, and it doesn’t sound like anything Kara’s ever experienced, so probably not. Alex couldn’t really explain it anyway, not any better than Kara could explain the way her skin can feel the shift of the air like a firework.
The way the touch of a hand feels like fire.
