Once upon a time, a long time ago in the far off land of 1960's England...
A man named Roald Dahl published a novel about five children touring a magical chocolate factory. But did you know there used to be six children touring the factory?
Miranda Mary Piker is an unused character for the novel 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' who went through a few rewrites before being eventually cut from the story entirely. However two years ago, tasked with finding a character I could write for in a group role-play, I took it upon myself to make the character of Miranda Mary Piker my own. And so for two years I sketched, role-played, scribbled and collaborated to make Miranda Mary Piker her own character.
The stories within these walls are twisted, confusing, and perhaps a bit bewildering, AUs abound, confusing character choices lurk behind every door, and angst is at the forefront of almost every chapter.
But isn't that what makes a story worth telling? -

Elphaba Diggs was the verdant princess of Oz, the only child and heir of the Wizard himself. When she arrived at Shiz, she was the talk of the campus. Crowds parted around her, awed by the magic that seemed to radiate from her very pores. Flowers seemed to bloom around her, and the air even smelled sweeter in her presence. People said she was the second coming of the Sages, more powerful even than her father. One day, she would inherit all of Oz and bring the dawn of a new Emerald Age.
One social-climbing Gillikinese girl who aspired to be a sorceress was beneath the Wonderful Witch’s notice. Galinda wouldn’t stand for that. Elphaba was the most powerful woman in Oz, and Galinda was going to be by her side.
Work title from "Alice Blue Gown," many versions of which are available online, including one by Judy Garland!

AU where Elphaba is raised by the Wizard and grows up in the spotlight as half of Oz's favorite team (and Galinda Upland's biggest celebrity crush). When Elphaba goes to Shiz University as Madame Morrible's graduate assistant, she reconnects with her childhood friends Fiyero and Feldspur and accepts Galinda as her protege. Their charmed circle is joined by Nessarose Thropp, the only child of Munchkinland's governor, and Tippetarius Shepherd, fellow grad student and foster son of Professor Mombi.
Written with the movie's cast in mind and influenced by some movie-only events, aesthetics, and music. Influenced by the play, Gregory Maguire's bookverse, The Wizard of Oz (1939), and the original Oz books by L. Frank Baum.
