Summary
Spencer watches the end of the world wisp around him. The grass tickles his cheek as he turns his head to follow one inky alien tendril across the sky. Its sluggish pace is reminiscent of the clouds rolling by the jet window.
Derek’s still standing in front of Spencer’s injured body, shooting bullets into the alien creature that just keeps walking towards them.
