Summary
Nerris doesn't need anyone, not really. He talks to Gale, he loves Gale; and Jaheira at least seems to tolerate him, and that’s that. Not like any of their merry band of weirdos seems to want to be friends with him anyway. But it matters not. Nerris was born under a killing moon and everyone is right to keep their difference. At least he has Gale.
Except then Gortash happens. And “I rather think you've done enough” sounds awfully like I'd rather you just leave me alone and suddenly it seems like he has no one at all.
In a desperate attempt to regain favour, the Dark Urge Nerris puts himself under increasing strain and suffers for it. Despite his assumptions, everyone cares for him anyway.

Summary
Tharatos is slipping. His dreams of a future with Astarion are being buried beneath thoughts of indescribable violence; the dreams of his friends at his feet, their blood on his tongue. The nausea, the headaches, all of it comes rushing back as if he were back on the Nautaloid, a slave to his own mind. And yet, shame stills his tongue; he can't bring himself to admit that just maybe, he might need help.
In aftermath of Cazador, Astarion comes into his own. Tharatos, however, comes apart. Somehow, it never occurs to him there could be a reason. beside his parentage.
Or, the Dark Urge becomes a dhampir. It changes everything and nothing.

This takes place post-Low Chaos ending. Daud never actually leaves Dunwall and Corvo decides enough is enough, and goes to confront the assassin to hopefully end it once and for all. But their little feud starts to stretch out for many months, and both start to realise they are more similar than they would like to admit.

Summary
Hong Kong in July is heavy with humidity, the damp heat unrelenting even late into the night. Napoleon knows this. It's not the first time he's been to Hong Kong. Even Illya has been forced by the oppressive heat to have loosened his tie and unfastened the top button of his shirt. Gaby's curls are slicked behind her ear. Napoleon himself can't feel the warmth, only the cloying, sticky air, but he doesn't need to in order to shuck his jacket and follow suit with his own top button, blending in to become yet another foreign businessman.
Turns out that blood loss and alcohol don't mix.
