She was born for school, Robin thought. Their school didn't have a uniform but Nancy practically wore one anyway, every day a different pastel cardigan and a skirt landing appropriately below her un-skinned knees. White socks and mary janes. She was wearing jeans and a red corduroy jacket now, though. Sneakers. Her hair was pulled back off her face and she was lying down on the train tracks with her eyes closed.
