Summary
One year after the battle; the Order had dwindled down to only a dozen available fighters. Hermione feels in over her head, the odds just keep stacking against her. Nearly everyone she loves is gone. She receives an owl offering help. But is this too good to be true? How will the others react? She's facing insurmountable odds. Will Draco Malfoy help or make things worse? She hasn't decided yet. But what she does know: It is very cathartic to punch Draco Malfoy in the face.
The Battle of Hogwarts changed Draco Malfoy in ways he doesn't even know yet. His belief systems is crumbling. He has grown sick of being a Death Eater, sick of his father, and sick of living this shitty life. But maybe the way out is to move up through the ranks. In a last ditch effort to do something good he sent his owl away with a letter for the last person he thought he would ever speak to, Hermione Granger.
