Summary
I wrote this for a school assignment. It's too long so for that I had to cut it down, but I wanted the full version preserved somewhere.
Basically It's ten years after Lord of the Flies happened, it's in the modern day because I said so, and Jack is in an asylum. He gets killed and his mom deals with it.

Summary
The basic concept for this AU is that, while Asta does get his grimoire as in canon, he doesn't get into the magic knights because Yami gets food poisoning the night before the exam and spends the day at home.
He doesn't want to return to Hage right away, though, so he winds up spending some more time in the capital, doing odd jobs using his physical strength... and by chance, Owen happens to notice him using his quasi-supernatural life advice abilities on other civilians. There are never enough trained therapists, since it's generally considered a boring speciality, so Owen offers him a job as an apprentice recovery mage in the royal capital's hospital.
It's not the same as being a magic knight at all, but the main driver behind Asta's dreams has always been helping people, so he decides he might as well give it a shot!
(Also featuring Asta being almost magically lovable, and Liebe trying his darnedest to protect the kid he's decided is his baby brother despite very possibly being older.)
