Even if it meant sacrificing their sense of justice and the two symbols who embodied its philosophy and principles, further fueling the conflict.

Polytrix, what if AU (kinda)
I think it was one of the best written fics you can find out there. All of the characters are beautifully written, Rumi is devastatingly human, and, kinda random, but I loved the symbolism of the patterns. 100% recommend if you want buckets of angst.

Pansmione, Seventh Year at Hogwarts.
It is fucking beautiful. Both Hermione and Pansy are really flawed, they fuck up constantly, and that’s what makes it so special. It had a really big impact on my life and I’ll always love it no matter what.
If you want to read something completely real, an slowburn that makes you want to slap both and then hug ‘em, this is it. Search no more.

Mira’s thumb stilled on the screen. She looked up, slow. “…What?”
Zoey’s hands twisted in her lap. “Like—not open relationships. Just… not just one person. Have you ever thought about being with more than one person and it still being okay?”
She wasn’t looking at Mira. Her voice was tight, like it hurt to speak. Mira watched her with a furrowed brow, still quiet.
“I feel so guilty all the time. Because I love you, Mira. I love you, and this doesn’t change that, but I see her and I want to make her smile and I want her to hold my hand and I think she’s beautiful and weird and sweet and I—”
She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.
“…Oh thank god.”

Probably my favorite KPDH fic out there. The author is a genius, every reference is perfect, every character is flawed, mental health issues are beautiful and raw… and the list just goes on.
If you want a fic that can make you laugh and five seconds later make you bawl your eyes out, this is for you!
