Ninjago: Rebooted AU where the writers acknowledge that they full on showed Cyrus Borg having cybernetic augmentation surgery done to him while awake and begging the machines to stop, and so instead of having him later wake up in the factory perfectly fine and pop off his metal faceplate like a halloween mask, it actually hurts.
There is probably a longer recovery story that could be done with this, but for now have these two scenes from the show, now re-imagined to cause my favorite characters pain for the sake of, you know, realism. In a show about legos.

The Time Twins have been defeated, but victories often come with loss. This is apparent as the ninja team begins to unviel a disconnection without their Master; Kai is indifferent to this loss however, unlike his teammate Cole. Through a series of close moments, some more lighthearted than others, Cole and Kai form a bond Kai didn't know he could have.
