Written because I was heartbroken that Halsin keeps the wooden duck hidden away in the Epilogue instead of giving it to his lover.
I'm just here to heal myself with my own headcanons—romanced Tavs deserve the duck, too!

Immediately following his return to the Grove, a party was thrown to celebrate your victory. A few of your companions showed their interest in sneaking away with you and claiming you for themselves. Unfortunately, the only one you wanted to sneak away with was Halsin, but he would not have you.
(Tav gets drunk after Halsin "rejects" them. Halsin then escorts them to bed and keeps watch.)

The path you were on was perilous, and you made as many friends as you did enemies. During the last battle, you were stabbed in the gut and collapsed to the ground. A mighty bear roared and then jumped in front of your body. It slashed and killed the enemy that attacked you before reverting to its humanoid form. The druid Halsin scooped you up in his arms and carried you to camp. He set you down on the bedroll and placed his hands over your wound. Blue light exuded from his hands as the flesh mended, and you winced. It was his calm voice that helped you get through the pain.
(Halsin heals Tav when they're hurt and confesses his feelings for them.)
