Dazai dropped the cheerful act. The smell of burnt flesh began to fill his nostrils again, and he looked over at the melted bodies with a disdainful look. They stared back with eyeballs hanging to the sockets with only a thin strand of pink muscle keeping them to the skull.
The terrified looks that were filled with despair seared into his mind. It wasn’t his first time seeing bodies like this, so it didn’t affect him at all.
Instead, he began walking in the opposite direction. A hero was bound to show up soon, especially with how obvious these deaths had been.
This was going to be a pain.

Summary
Long before quirks appeared, ability users had long since waged war against each other unbeknownst to the rest of the world. Things changed the moment people began to learn of their existence, and suddenly they were being targetted worldwide. Powerful as they were, they were soon outnumbered and forced to go into hiding. It was around this moment when Yokohama, home to the highest number of ability users in the world, declared its own independence, erecting a barrier that enclosed its entirety from Japan and the rest of the world.
That was two centuries ago, and now, two children were found, bleeding and injured outside of its barriers. A new storm is brewing, and the two teens are caught right in the middle of it.
The question is, whose side are they on?
Thrust into a world that sees only in extremities, Dazai and Chuuya will have to forge themselves a path in between to protect what matters the most to them, even if it meant overturning a societal system forged two centuries ago.

The last thing Alhaitham wanted was to hurt the man that he cherished the most. With a slight frown, the two continued on their way to the cafe, not once bringing up the subject of his assistant once they saw Collei and Tighnari.
Later that night, Alhaitham finally managed to write a draft letter and began it with him asking if Kaveh had brought enough clothes.
He scraped it after.
Alhaitham's new assistant developed feelings for him, which resulted in him taking a sudden trip from Sumeru all the way to the desert just to see Kaveh.

Flowers have their own language and are said to guide the lovers together to meet on the full moon during the festival to dance together. Those who find their respective partner will have a prosperous marriage.
Kaveh has no plans to participate in the Courting of Flowers, but a single lotus left on his desk sends him on a pursuit to find the one courting him before the festival ends.

Kaveh's vermillion eyes gloss over, his jaw tight. "You keep saying that," he hisses through his teeth, his voice coming out small and unsure, "You keep suggesting that I leave."
"You know very well that I prefer being on my own, and you're worth at least five people on a good day."
Alternatively: Kaveh leaves for good after a particularly vicious fight between them, but Alhaitham is okay with it.
Until he isn’t.
