Summary
"Memory is the diary that we all carry about with us," Oscar Wilde
Newly freed and even more newly returned to Wizarding Britain, notorious fugitive and erstwhile godfather to Harry Potter, Sirius Black is reluctant to step foot back into the house where some of his worst memories were born. The house where his family turned on him. Where he knew nothing but strict adherence to pureblood values, where his father was a distant cold star and his mother a wrathful inferno, keen on burning his "undesirable" aspects from him.
Over a decade and a half before he had fled that house and that family. Beyond his regret of his brothers fate he had few fond memories...or did he?
A happenstance finding of family heirlooms sparks a memory that doesn't line up, of a past that conflicts with what Sirius knows to be true....but what is truth is a world with memory charms and mental manipulation.
And so calling upon the help his estranged cousin Andromeda, Sirius will dive back through his mind, into the past to find out who stole his childhood from him, and if the family he remembers were truly the monsters he believed them to be.

Summary
"You're alive," Homelander says. He doesn't know what he's feeling. What he should be feeling.
"You're a fucking disappointment, John," his father says.
OR - Maybe if I'd raised you, I could have made you better. And not some weak, sniveling pussy starved for attention.
In which Soldier Boy does raise Homelander, for a time. It changes everything. (It changes nothing.)
