Summary
The Blood-Dimmed Tide
A world without Captain America is the world he was made to prevent—a world in which HYDRA rises to menace every nation, Russia withdraws and swells to superpower status, and America struggles to survive. Much of Europe is cast back almost into the Dark Ages, China closes her borders and lurks like a sleeping giant, India and Africa roil with the last throes of colonialism as they lurch toward their full potential.
And what of Captain America? In the hands of the Russians, he is reshaped into the second Winter Soldier and the children of the Red Room are a constant menace in the service of the Motherland. But they, like so many others, are often hard-pressed to simply hold back HYDRA's threats.
By 2014, HYDRA has brought war all the way to America's own shores, corroding her from inside as it assaults her from above. America's great cities, including Manhattan, are scarred by battle. SHIELD has been all but shattered. And the heroes that remain are almost without hope—but they continue to fight. The loss of one of their great minds, the scientist Hank Pym, comes with some small consolation... the revelation that Captain America might not be lost to them after all.

Summary
He is broken, probably beyond repair, and it’s only electricity that makes his brain melt that could make him whole again, but it’s not what is needed right now. Steve’s voice grounds him in the present, away from everything scary and disturbing that crawls inside his head.

Summary
John doesn't remember where he comes from or know how he ended up on the streets alone. But none of that matters. Moriarty decides that Sherlock needs a new pet and takes John home. Sherlock feeds him his favourite meal, fixes him a warm bed in front of the fireplace, soothes him when he wakes up screaming from nightmares... and oh yeah, slowly, lovingly turns him into his sexual pet.
Or at least, that was the plan.
