Chapt 37 preview:She didn’t know when the habit began, but she had no intention of putting an end to it. She opened her sister’s door to visually check that the teen was peacefully asleep, hugging a stuffed badgermole.
She ventured further into the room and stroked the soft black hair atop her sister’s head. “Love you Kid, I’m home safe.” A quick kiss to Su’s temple and Lin backed out of the room and into her own.
Keeping up with her end of their bargain, Lin stripped down to her tank top and underwear then slipped into bed. She squeezed Kya’s hip gently as she moulded herself around the waterbender. “Kya, I’m home.”

Canon adjacent expansion on LOK with each episode being around a chapter in length. I add my own scenes and details in between the dialogue from the show. Slight change in that Korrasami happens much sooner because there was tension in season 1 anyway :)
Working on new chapters while also rewriting the earlier chapters to match my style in the later ones. Updates come every month or so, sometimes more, sometimes less :)

Lin cleared her throat and set her chopsticks back down on the table, straightening her shoulders as every cell in her body was still focused on Kya’s slender fingers that were now inching slowly over the curve of her knee, towards the tense expanse of her thigh. “Well - you know, a lot of them are fresh out of their metalbending academies, so they’re a little underprepared, but they’ll catch on to Republic City’s unique circumstances eventually.”or,

Summary
Lin’s head snapped up to meet Kya’s eyes. The determined fury on Kya’s face was the spitting image of her mother’s, so much so that Lin was suddenly hit by a memory of Katara glaring at her mother with the exact same expression as they argued over Toph’s parenting (or lack thereof). Lin had been so shocked by it; both because she had never seen Katara so angry and because she couldn’t quite believe it was on her behalf. The memory softened her posture slightly, but the fear lingered.
She stepped towards Kya, pressing down the bitter sting when she noticed a flash of panic in those brown eyes, “I just– I…” Her traitorous mouth wouldn’t form any words and she let out a frustrated growl as she dropped heavily onto the couch behind her. Kya, by some miracle she surely didn’t deserve, tempered slightly and moved to sit next to her,
“You can take your time, I’ll wait.”
ALTERNATIVELY TITLED: five times kya asked lin to come away with her (and one time she didn't have to)
