Zane is a Nindroid. Jay almost turned into a snake once. Cole was cursed and turned into a ghost. Lloyd's been stuck fighting other people's battles ever since fighting his own too young. Nya...Nya was the reason he became a ninja in the first place, and now she's the endless sea.
Kai may not have gone through any of it firsthand, but as any protective big sibling would tell you, that doesn't really mean much.
(Or, the one where I try to write a crack AU where Kai is Everything At Once and end up with post-Seabound angst somehow.)
