“Divorce technically isn’t our only option,” Hermione said absentmindedly. “Malfoy could die within the next two years, for example.”
Malfoy turned to her, eyes blazing. “Either of us could die, Granger. I don’t appreciate the insinuation of it being me.”
“I didn’t say it for you to appreciate it. It’s merely a fact.”
Malfoy turned to Kinglsey. “If nothing else can nullify our impending nuptials, surely Granger exhibiting the markers for premeditated murder should?”
Granger rolled her eyes. “If I were going to murder you, I wouldn’t be stupid enough to plan it with the Minister For Magic.”
Malfoy mockingly put his hand against his heart. “Oh, that’s such a relief. I much prefer the idea of being murdered in the spur of the moment. Premeditation is very played out.”
“Quite literally,” Hermione said.
Clearing his throat, Kingsley said, “I appreciate that you both have history. Even so, the Wizenmagot has chosen the two of you to marry.”
“Granger’s intent on putting the ‘death’ in ‘til death do us part, and you want to categorise our dynamic as having ‘history,’” Malfoy scoffed, leaning his head back. “We’re fucked.”

Summary
When Harry is defeated by Voldemort in their final duel and all hope is lost. Hermione is determined to fix what went wrong in the past and breaks the fundamental laws of time when she misuses her time turner to send herself back to their first year, into an alternate reality where she becomes her younger self instead of being an alternate & older version. She halts from being her outgoing and bossy self to stepping back and looking at the bigger picture. Events good and bad are so interwoven that she misleads herself, Harry and Ron and ironically Draco Malfoy, their archnemesis, Of course, once you remove the bitterness and assumptions he can appear like a different person.

Summary
The year is 2020, Minerva McGonagall has stepped down as Headmistress of Hogwarts and Professor Flitwick has been her replacement for three years now. Beauxbatons has risen to the top as the best school of the Wizarding World but the spirit of the castle has designs of its own. With the appearance of an entire new wing down by the lake, the Headmaster has a chance to take back the crown: the Hogwarts Preparatory School will teach wizarding children aged between 6 and 10 and prepare them for the challenges that lie ahead.
