In the dim light, he saw a figure.
"D- Danheng?" Caelus’s breath hitched, his eyes widening in shock. A man sat in meditation, his entire form bound by chains that anchored him to the walls of the room, securing him in place.
For a moment, Caelus was certain it was Danheng. The resemblance was uncanny, but then a moment of realization reached him.
"Ah, wait, no... Danfeng!" He corrected himself, his heart still racing. Of course, it couldn’t be his Danheng.

Short version:
Caelus time travels back into the past in the shackling prison and meets Danfeng by chance, he turned out to be an asshole even though he's meant to be Danheng's previous reincarnation. They're nothing alike, how could they be related to each other? That jerk!–

“From the papers, yes.” Feigning ignorance, even though he knew the answer by heart.
“He’s missing. ”
The Batcave had its own little prison Dick had built for his mentor: bulletproof glass from all sides, all digitally locked chains on Bruce’s limbs.
It wasn’t the easiest task to take over Bruce’s life. To navigate the mystery that Bruce had made of the man he’d been, Dick had to give up his life as Nightwing permanently, even convincing his friends and former teammates of his fabricated death story.
It was worth it, for this.

The words on his skin were his everything. After everything he'd seen, done and been through, they were a reminder that Bruce Wayne still existed. That somewhere there was a person who would love him despite the coldness in his chest and the scars that roped their way across his skin. A reminder that he wasn't alone - that he wasn't destined to live forever in the shadows, silent and isolated. That somewhere out there was the other half of his soul.
He just wasn't expecting the other half of his soul to be an alien.
