Summary
Vi has a dilemma.
Crushing hard on Sarah Fortune, Vi wants nothing more than to ask her out. But Sarah didn't go out with women that were inexperienced losers like Vi. If Vi was even going to stand a slight chance with her, she'd need to finally lose her virginity. Feeling hopeless, Vi turns to her very best friend, Caitlyn, for advice. She could talk to her about anything, seeing as though they had been best friends ever since they started college together.
And sure enough, Caitlyn has a solution. Just... not the one that Vi had imagined.
Caitlyn proposes the idea of being Vi's teacher, giving her sex lessons and teaching her everything she needs to know before she can approach Sarah. Although there were a million reasons why doing such a thing with your best friend is a horrible idea, Vi agrees regardless. All this while also having to navigate the difficulty of a troubled past and a vastly uncertain future.

Kokomi blinks slowly, taking in the words quietly. This game is simple, deceptively so, there’s no clear cut objective to creep towards, and Kokomi feels displaced, out of her depth. Because duelling is all she’s ever known; she was raised with a wand in her hand and lightness in the tips of her toes; winning is what she’s been taught quietly and painstakingly and repeatedly through the years. Yet this game has no winning or losing, only survival.
So, if the bottle lands on her, all Kokomi has to do is survive.
Child’s play, really.
or; darkness wraps around them, and all kokomi has to do is evade sara’s scorching embers for seven minutes. seven minutes, though, proves to feel more like an eternity.

She feels the dirt under her hands, and the pain in her lower back hurts, it's unpleasant.
Only that doesn't bother her at all.
Sara sits on top of her, her fingers dug into her collar. She looks at her Goddess, her lip curled in disdain, as if she's about to finish her off on the spot. Ei is really afraid of that look.

Being a senior and the volleyball ace of the school, Vi had a small number of priorities: perform just well enough in her classes so that she doesn't lose her scholarship for university, and to win more matches for the school. She has no time or energy for anything else that goes around. She certainly is not interested in this new student that's coming to their school in the middle of the damned semester and she's getting really annoyed with how no one seems to shut up about this new kid who is not even there half of the time.
However, there is something odd about this new girl. Vi notices that, while not present, the others are always talking about her, one way or another. She refuses to get involved with someone like her, until one day, fate puts them face to face with one another.
