Summary
Long before the twins were born, their village, Inarizaki made an arrangement with Itachiyama, a tribe of wolf shifters, that one son would become the mate to the tribe’s future chief. Atsumu, the oldest and omega son, was passed up in favor of Osamu, the youngest and a beta, to carry out this agreement. Whoever was chosen would take part in The Run, a series of trials that chosen omegas and betas must pass in order to demonstrate their worth as a mate for their alpha.
To everyone's disbelief and Inarizaki’s displeasure, Sakusa ignores Osamu's presence, ultimately choosing Atsumu as his mate instead.
Untrained and unprepared, Atsumu must now participate in The Run to prove not just to his family that he is capable of succeeding but also to his future mate who has chosen him.

Summary
Of all the alphas Atsumu had seen, those that had asked for his hand once he had presented and otherwise, Sakusa Kiyoomi was easily the most strikingly beautiful. His sharp cheekbones and ever sharper eyes framed by long, dark lashes were demanding of one’s attention. His chiseled jaw and straight nose were arranged perfectly around his full mouth.
However, Atsumu couldn’t find it in himself to take his eyes off the two vertical moles—beauty marks—above the alpha’s right brow. It was a bit too easy for Atsumu, proclaimed to be an omega immune to the seduces of an alpha, to be transfixed by this wolf.

In the heat of an argument, Sakusa uses a command on Atsumu, unexpectedly triggering his heat.
Over the course of their forced proximity as teammates, Sakusa has come to regard Atsumu as an aggravating and aggravatingly attractive man, whose presence constantly threatens to send him to an early grave. So when he agrees to accompany him through his heat, it’s under the guise of mere guilt and having the decency to take responsibility for his poor actions.
But in the following days of spending time with Atsumu and getting to know him beyond the pleasures of his flesh, Sakusa is helpless to deny the storm that brews inside of him.
