Q had lied to him. Q had kept far too big of a secret from him. James couldn’t trust him anymore, not even in the smallest capacity."
In other words, Q and James fall in love and have to try to make it work with one hell of a secret that hangs between them and enemies who have no idea what they're dealing with.
