Regulus has always loved French. So, when James asked the Slytherin to teach him, he didn’t hesitate to agree. He didn’t get to speak the language outside of conversations with his parents and Sirius, and welcomed the idea of getting to share the experience with his boyfriend, too.
But there’s always difficulty in teaching and learning a language. With his eagerness to speak French even half as well as Regulus does, James is up for the challenge anyway, and Regulus is surprised to hear just how much James has learned.
Or, Regulus discovers James knew a bit more French than he let on.

She was holding hands with Lily Evans.
Emma stared at their hands for a few seconds and then she lifted her gaze to look into Lily’s eyes. She could’ve melted because of the softness she saw in them. Lily was looking at her like she was the centre of her universe.
They were sitting there for a long while, not talking, not doing anything, just holding hands and looking at each other. Emma wouldn’t have exchanged these minutes for anything. At this moment it felt like everything clicked into its right place. All the puzzle pieces were finally together and Emma knew that her life was whole with Lily Evans in it.

“Oh honestly, Malfoy,” a new voice cut in, sliding into the seat beside Bellatrix.
It was a voice that Bellatrix desperately didn’t want to hear, but also didn’t think she could live without - she kept her focus on Lucius, who was now staring intently down at his poached eggs, eyes wide.
“They’ve been saying that we’re dating, Black,” said the voice calmly and Bellatrix’s head snapped to the left so quickly that her hair whipped into her face.
“What?” she asked, certain she’d heard wrong, staring into the green eyes of none other than Rita Skeeter.

“Then don’t turn around,” Pandora says, hands still in place on his shoulders.
“Okay, if you say not to I won’t,” he says, trying to keep his face calm to ease whatever she was feeling. “Let’s go.”
She removes her hands from their tight grasp on his shoulders and steps away, turning to leave, he follows her for a second then says, “Oh wait! I forgot, I’m still me.”
He whips his head around before she can stop him and he can feel the same look that was just on her face emerging on his. There at the end of the hall, in the middle of a table sat James Potter and Lily Evans.

Or, Pandora has a crush on Lily. Regulus has a crush on James. Lily has a crush on Pandora. James has a crush on Regulus. Pandora and Reg spend their time secretly fawning (pun intended) over James and Lily who they are convinced are in love with each other. James and Lily seem to only be able to talk about their crushes lately and this has led to them spending more and more time together.
