As memories resurface and realisations sink in, Brian is faced with the truth: he let go of the best thing in his life. Now, he has to decide if it's too late, or if he can finally get Justin to come back home again.

Justin looked down at his sketchpad. “I still draw you, you know.”
Brian didn’t answer. He couldn’t. The admission carved something out of him. Justin standing there, holding him pressed to paper, carrying him into whatever new world he was living in—it hurt more than it should’ve. Because what did it mean? What could it mean when it came from someone who’d walked away?
Justin lifted his head. “Every time I try to draw something else, it turns into you.”

They had been so kind to him, even when they left the wedding. Abuela had said ‘bendiciones,’ he swore that meant blessings. Did they secretly disapprove of him for Alex? Maybe they couldn’t accept him over the cultural differences after all, and—
“H, I think you’re pregnant.”
His train of thought plunges straight off a cliff and into the ocean. Everything is muffled except for a loud ringing in his ears.
