Xie Lian found the situation funny. One god being hired to maintain temples of another. Nor was he all that shameless.
Still, he asked.
"Who is the god worshipped there?"
"It's not a god." The man laughed. "It's a ghost. The Ghost King Hua Cheng."
After the defeat of thirty-three heavenly officials, many temples are rising and many are falling. Job offers come and go. Xie Lian is a god. He never thought that at some point he would become the worshipper.
