“Come on! It’s almost 11:30! You don’t want to miss break time, do you?” the older man asked, already starting to walk backwards down the hallway. Lance’s blue eyes widened and all of his tiredness instantly disappeared as he quickly glanced down at the clock on his computer.
“Oh shit, I can’t believe I almost missed break time,” he said as he scrambled up from his desk and stumbled after Adam.
In the two years he’d been here, Lance had discovered that there were many perks to working at Altea Finance: the hours were flexible, his supervisor, Adam Wright, was amazing to work with and learn from, his commute from home wasn’t too bad, and he generally got along with almost everyone in the office (except James, but he’s a dick, so no body likes him). But the thing Lance loved most about this job was the little break time ritual almost everyone in this area of the office took part in.

Summary
After all their hard work in college, Lance and his friends finally graduate and decide on a much needed group vacation. At the same time, Keith Kogane find himself going on his own trip with his only family. But then tragedy strikes when their plane crashes into the untamed Canadian wilderness. Now Lance and Keith must find a way to overcome their bad blood to survive the deadly threats--natural and unnatural--that surround them.

If Lance, at the bright age of 19 and fresh from Voltron's victory, had been told that nine years later he would be divorced, depressed, and playing second fiddle at his best friends wedding to fucking James Griffin, he probably would have laughed out loud and spit on the ground because that future felt so disconnected from the story Lance was telling himself about himself.
And yet, here he was- 28 years old, four years out from divorcing Allura, and James Griffin was meticulously putting together a charcuterie board right in front of him.

“Look. It was not a prank. You called the Divine Relief Office. They sent me to grant you a wish.” He sounds so certain. So firm. Almost exasperated. But Keith doesn’t believe him. Not one bit. He’s not going to be made fun of like this.
“You’re literally a student at the Garrison,” Keith says flatly. “You’re just a guy. Just a cadet. You’re literally in a college dorm with a suitcase.”
Lance’s nose scrunches, upper lip curling. He lifts his chin slightly. “I’m a student now, but I’m not just some guy. I’m a God of Happiness. More powerful than you could ever imagine. I have the power to mold and shape the world around me. I’m only here, pretending to be human, because you made a wish. And I’m granting it.” He holds his arms wide, shit-eating grin curling mockingly, and Keith feels the dread curling in his gut. “Congratulations. I’m now required to be your boyfriend forever.”
Keith accidentally calls the Divine Relief Office and is granted one wish. Lance is sent to grant the wish. But Keith thinks it’s a prank. He mockingly wishes for Lance to be his boyfriend and the wish gets granted. Surprising everyone. Now Lance is stuck on Earth, pretending to be human, and Keith is stuck with Lance.

Summary
Keith and Lance get stung by one of two bugs: either a mostly-harmless lovebug, or a bug whose venom has no symptoms until sting victims drop dead fourteen hours later. When they insist they feel no different after being stung, the entire team assumes Keith and Lance have fourteen hours left to live. The boys are forced to await their shared fate in quarantine while the rest of the team scrambles to make an antidote in time.
