Summary
It's said that every soul is connected to another by a red thread, and that these two souls are destined to meet. The thread, though it may tangle or stretch, will never break. That's not your experience, lucky or unlucky enough as you are to see the strings that bind people together. A red thread is developed and grown, not born, and you've worked hard to weed out any semblance of crimson that might cling to you. You pay your bills, you keep your head down, and you find whatever lost people or items you're hired to sniff out.
Then the Devil of Hell's Kitchen tags along on a job, and your plan falls apart.
Starts prior to Into the Ring, and loosely follows the canon timeline. There is eventually smut, so enter at your peril. Reader is never physically described but uses a false name and may be treated as an OC.

Summary
Breaking the silence abruptly, the boy asked, “S-say, haven’t I seen, seen you before?” he looked at Hosea hopefully, his feathers ruffling nervously, “are… are you a friend of Oscar’s?” and Hosea had to keep his wings from flaring, from displaying to the Omega—yes, yes he was a friend of Oscar’s. He’d not found many male Omegas who were willing to bed a male Alpha, it was too ingrained in them and while he was an Alpha and an outlaw he was not that horrible a man, not that much a slave to his instincts, but he very much was a friend of Oscar’s.

Summary
“You’ll come to learn that there’s only one thing worse than having nothing.”
Trying to hold onto his fight, Peter shoots back, “Yeah? And what’s that?”
“To have nothing, after being able to believe you could have everything.”
The streets are dirty, crowded, and the jagged bumps in the asphalt are hardly comfortable to sleep on. They’re home, though.
Peter is just about finished with New York City. It’s gotten impossibly harder to find even a scrap of food, and what little belongings he does have are unlikely to keep him alive through the winter. And the memories. God, the painful memories here.
So he saves up. Makes a plan to get out of there.
Then, somehow, he accidentally saves Tony fucking Stark from a gang of eight mercenaries, and the majestic plan disintegrates into ash.
The worst part about it, he knows, isn’t even that he met Tony. It’s that Tony met him.

Summary
It’s been getting worse. It started out as strange flashes of color and breaths of feelings. It could be a random sense of nostalgia for something he had never seen before, or a brief ripple of sadness, or a hunch that was too far-fetched for him to have come up with by himself. At the time, Kim hadn’t thought much of it. It left him with a vague sense of unease for a few seconds before he carried on with his day.
Now, though? It’s an issue.
or,
Kim starts hearing voices.
