“Oh.” Richie flipped onto his stomach and adjusted his glasses, leaving Eddie to stare at the mess of hair he didn’t bother fixing. “It’s one of those nights, huh?”
Eddie nodded.
Richie nodded back. “Okay, okay. That’s okay, I get it. Do you want me to go?”
The thought of that made Eddie’s anxiety spike so he frantically shook his head no, finally letting their eyes meet. His were glossed over, like he was on the verge of crying, and Richie instantly noticed.
“Okay.” There was a soft and understanding smile paired with that one simple word, and that was all it took for Eddie to feel a bit calmer. “I can stay as long as you want.”

Mornings were always one of Eddie’s favorite times of the day, especially weekend mornings when there was no alarm to wake them up and Eddie could just cuddle in closer to Richie. As usual, Richie doesn’t wake up, he might make a snuffling sound as Eddie tucks his feet between Richie’s, but other than that he’s usually dead to the world for at least another hour or two.
Eddie never minds though, it gives him a chance to bask in the domestic bliss, it’s cheesy as hell and he would rather die than ever admit it to Richie. Not that he’s ashamed of how cheesy it is, but because he knows Richie would make a fucking bit out of it and he’s adamant about the self-preservation.

Apparently, the escorts Richie hired all had some traits in common with Eddie. A lot of traits. A suspicious amount of very specific traits.
The list-style description that Steve had rattled off was seared into his brain. It played in his head now, when he looked in the mirror across from the bed.
Short, brown hair, big brown eyes, polo shirt, small build. Bitchy face.
The inevitable conclusion was that Richie wanted to have sex with guys that resembled Eddie, but not Eddie, himself. This could be for any number of reasons, not the least of which was Eddie’s horrible, abrasive personality. Or multiple disfiguring scars.
