Peter Parker got bit by a radioactive spider at age fourteen but one decision changes the course of history. There is no Spider-Man. Just an enhanced kid on a soccer team, desperate to get a college scholarship like his uncle would have wanted him to.
Everything was going according to his plan until President Ellis came up with the Avengers Fitness Tournament as a way to promote team building and community outreach.

Peter is faced with possible futures he never even considered before, and he has to make impossible decisions that he never thought he’d have to. Good thing there is a mysterious security guard who is there for Peter when he’s at his breaking point.

Peter trades in his gallery of trauma for the Bats’ rogue gallery as he adjusts to living in Gotham, losing his entire universe, and living with the ghosts of the Avengers. It’s not a fair trade—Peter is definitely being scammed for the damned shiny Jigglypuff—but at least he is getting out of this alive. Mostly.

“You know,” she says, voice syrupy with implication, “it’s okay if your idol job keeps you too busy. Not everyone finds love. Some people just... don’t.” A beat. “Anyway, I’d love to meet your boyfriend next week! Surely you have one, right?”
Sunoo doesn’t mean to panic. But he’s just so tired, and annoyed, and he really wanted to slap her somehow. The words left his mouth before his brain caught up.
“Yeah. I do, actually.” He says it with more spite than he intended.
“Oh.” She replies. It’s the shortest sentence she’s said this whole conversation, and Sunoo relishes the win.
“Who?”
Fuck.
Sunoo needs to get his annoying cousin off his back. Ni-ki's a little shit who's perfect for the job.
