The Dekarios family have always put a great deal of emphasis on food. For Gale, some of his earliest memories involved clamoring feverishly up a stool, eager to help his mother chop vegetables for dinner. He was barely even able to hold a knife with his stubby toddler fingers, but was just as eager to prove his skills in the kitchen as he would soon be with magic.
Despite his passion for it, cooking quietly faded into the background of his life, readily replaced by his study of the Weave and later his… condition. But when given people to cook for and a desperate need for a distraction due to the tadpole in his skull, good food might be just what he, and everyone else, needs.
